About My Startup – FOLDIT 🚀 FOLDIT is an early-stage startup focused on building an automated laundry folding solution for hotels and commercial laundries. Our aim is to reduce labor cost, increase efficiency, and bring smart automation into a largely manual industry. We are developing the product in three core modules, each targeting different levels of automation: 1. Folding + Collection Module Automatically folds clothes and collects them into a basket for easy handling. 2. Folding + Packing Module Folds clothes and directly prepares them for packaging, improving speed and workflow. 3. Collar Strip Auto-Fit + Folding + Packing Module An advanced solution that aligns collar strips automatically along with folding and packing, ensuring better presentation and consistency. These modules are designed to be efficient, scalable, and adaptable based on different business needs. This leads to several challenges: High labor costs due to dependency on multiple workers Low productivity, especially during bulk orders Inconsistent folding quality, affecting presentation Operational inefficiency and slower turnaround time Difficulty in scaling, as more orders require more manpower Small and mid-sized businesses are the most affected, as they cannot afford expensive industrial automation systems, forcing them to rely on inefficient manual processs
