About LUKART
LUKART is a hyperlocal commerce and delivery startup focused on empowering local vendors while solving trust and execution gaps in instant delivery, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Unlike large quick-commerce platforms that rely heavily on dark stores and centralized inventory, LUKART connects nearby local shops—groceries, pharmacy, daily essentials, and later other categories—directly with customers through a location-based platform. Orders are fulfilled by verified local vendors and riders, creating faster delivery, better transparency, and stronger community trust. During market research and hands-on testing of existing platforms, we identified key pain points for users and vendors such as lack of nearby availability visibility, limited payment flexibility (like COD), poor delivery updates, and weak communication between customer, rider, and vendor. LUKART is being built to address these issues through real-time order updates, clear delivery tracking, vendor-side inventory visibility, and a rider system designed for accountability and trust. The initial launch will focus on Mumbai, with plans to expand city-by-city into Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets where local commerce still dominates but technology adoption is growing rapidly. LUKART’s long-term vision is to become the trusted operating layer for local commerce—helping small businesses go digital, increase daily orders, and compete sustainably in the evolving grocery and essentials market. Currently, the team is working on an MVP website and core operational workflows, with the goal of validating demand, refining execution, and scaling responsibly.
Problem Statement
LUKART is solving the trust, accessibility, and execution gap in local commerce delivery, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. While quick-commerce platforms focus mainly on metro areas and dark-store models, local vendors still struggle to go online, manage inventory, get reliable riders, and build customer trust. Customers, on the other hand, face issues like limited nearby availability, no COD options, poor delivery visibility, and lack of transparency when ordering from local sellers. LUKART bridges this gap by enabling nearby local vendors (grocery, pharmacy, daily essentials) to sell online through a simple platform, supported by a dedicated rider network with real-time order updates and location-based discovery. The goal is not just faster delivery, but creating a trusted local ecosystem where vendors grow digitally, riders get consistent work, and customers get reliable, transparent service — starting locally and scaling city by city.
Solution & Value Proposition
LUKART is solving the trust, accessibility, and execution gap in local commerce and hyperlocal delivery, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Today, customers face multiple problems: Local shops are not digitally accessible, especially at night or during urgent needs. Existing grocery apps often don’t show nearby real vendors, lack COD, and provide poor order transparency (no proper live tracking, updates, or chat). Local vendors struggle to go online due to high commissions, complex systems, and no tech support. Riders lack a structured system that builds trust between customer, vendor, and delivery partner.Because of this, users don’t fully trust new delivery platforms, vendors lose business, and local ecosystems remain disconnected.
